Runtime commands
A runtime command is any text prefixed by the / character. If theinterpreter recognizes a command, it will parse and handle it. If not, thecommand will be sent as is (but without the initial / character) to theserver.

Here is a list of some useful commands:

/ame %messagesend an action to all active channels
/amsg %messagesend a message to all active channels
/away [%message]configure the away status
/beepsend a beep to the speakers
/clearclear the window
/ctcp %command [%parameters]send a ctcp request to the given nick
/dcc %nicksend a dcc request to the given nick
/disconnectdisconnect from the server
/echo %messageecho the specified text to the active source
/hopleave and rejoin the active channel
/ignore %nickignore the specified nick
/j %channel [%password]join the given channel
/join %channel [%password]same as j
/kick %nickkick the given nick
/leaveleave the active source
/me %messagesend an action to the active source
/msg %target %messagesend a message to the given target
/partsame as leave
/pingping the given nickname
/query %nickquery the given nickname
/quit [%message]same as disconnect, but with the given message
/topic %channel %topicchange the given channel's topic

/color %cset the current color to %c. For instance /color 4,2
/bold %bset the bold status, with %b being either 1 or 0.
/underline %uset the underline status, with %u being either 1 or 0.
/highlight %wordadd the given word into the highlight word list.
/unhighlight %wordremove the given word from the highlight word list.
